Wallpapering yourself is very easy. At least: if you use the right glue. There are different types of wallpaper, each with their own specific characteristics and properties. It is therefore important that you choose wallpaper glue that is suitable for the type of material you will be working with. At Nikkel Art we choose “Perfax Roll-on Magic”. This adhesive was developed especially for the application of non-woven wallpaper and came out as a favorite after frequent testing. However, the excellent quality is not the only reason why we recommend “Perfax Roll-on Magic”. The ease of use of this non-woven wallpaper adhesive plays an equally important role. And this already starts with the preparation. You hardly have to do anything except add some water and stir. Let it rest for a while, stir again and your wallpaper glue is ready! It can be that simple. The wallpapering itself is also a piece of cake. No hassle with wallpaper tables; you can apply the wall mural glue directly to the wall. Handy, right? Thanks to the pink color indicator, you can also immediately see which spots have already been treated, which prevents you from using too much wall mural glue. Not a fan of pink? Don't worry, the color will disappear on its own when the glue dries. It is also good to know that “Perfax Roll-on Magic” is lime-resistant. So no risk of splashing. Immediately saves you a lot of mess and clean-up work afterwards.
WALL MURAL ADHESIVE: CHOOSE QUALITY
As a do-it-yourself wallpaperer, you may also be interested in the fact that misplaced strips are easy to correct as long as the wall mural adhesive is still wet. Please note: try not to move the strips, but carefully loosen them and then stick them to the wall again, possibly with an extra layer of wall mural glue. When the glue dries, the wallpaper will return to its original shape, which may cause open seams. Our blog post with prevention tips for open seams in wall murals tells you everything you need to know about this topic. Investing in high-quality glue also pays off if you later decide to remove your wallpaper. Wall murals applied with “Perfax Roll-on Magic” can be removed easily, without damaging the surface. Finally, it is important to note that everything starts with the preparation of the surface. Even the very best wall mural glue is not good enough when you apply your non-woven wallpaper to a wet, dirty or uneven wall. So definitely take the time to make your wall dry, smooth and dust-free before you start wallpapering.
